Pallet Cover

A pallet cover is a common packaging accessory in international logistics and foreign trade transportation, referring to a protective cover placed on top of palletized goods, typically made of plastic film, tarpaulin, aluminum foil, or rigid plastic. Its core functions are dust prevention, moisture resistance, rain protection, and preventing goods from contamination or damage during transportation or storage. Usage scenarios include: ocean container shipping, air freight pallets, open-air storage, and multimodal transport. Precautions: the material should be selected according to cargo characteristics (e.g., anti-static, flame-retardant, or UV-resistant), and the size must match the pallet to avoid protection failure caused by looseness; if used for food or pharmaceuticals, it must comply with relevant hygiene standards. The difference from a 'pallet shroud' is that a pallet cover usually covers only the top, while a pallet shroud can wrap the entire pallet and the sides of the goods; the difference from 'stretch film' is that stretch film is used to secure goods, while a pallet cover focuses on top protection. In foreign trade contracts, the material, thickness, and recyclability of the pallet cover should be clearly specified to avoid disputes.
