Stretch Film

Stretch Film is a plastic film with high stretchability and self-adhesiveness, typically made from LLDPE. It is widely used in foreign trade transportation to secure palletized goods, provide dust protection, moisture resistance, and theft deterrence. Usage scenarios include: wrapping entire pallets during container loading to prevent goods from shifting in transit; protecting products from dust and moisture during warehouse storage. Precautions: choose appropriate thickness (e.g., 17-23 microns) and width (e.g., 50cm); too thin easily breaks, too thick increases cost. Note the stretch rate (typically 200%-300%); manual wrapping and machine wrapping have different requirements. Avoid sharp edges puncturing the film. Difference from Shrink Film: stretch film wraps by its own adhesion and stretching force without heating; shrink film requires heat to shrink and tightly conform to the product. Difference from Strapping: stretch film provides full coverage, while strapping only secures locally. In foreign trade, it is often used with pallets and cartons, and is a key consumable in logistics packaging.
