Double-Face Pallet

A double-face pallet is a pallet with deckboards or panels on both the top and bottom surfaces, allowing cargo to be loaded on either side. Its structure typically consists of complete top and bottom deckboards connected by stringers or blocks, forming two-way or four-way entry. Usage scenarios: suitable for rack storage, stacking, and logistics processes requiring flipping or double-sided load bearing, especially common in export transportation, warehousing, and automated warehouses. Precautions: because the bottom has deckboards, a double-face pallet cannot be used with a manual hydraulic pallet truck (pallet jack) inserted directly from the bottom; a forklift is usually required. Compared with single-face pallets, it is heavier and more expensive, but offers greater stability and load capacity. Difference from single-face pallets: a single-face pallet has deckboards on only one side and can only be used on one side, with no bottom deckboards, making it suitable for pallet jack operations; a double-face pallet can be used on both sides, but the bottom has stringers or blocks, which affects entry. Difference from double-sided entry pallets: a double-face pallet emphasizes that both sides can bear loads, while a double-sided entry pallet emphasizes that a forklift can enter from both sides, but it may bear loads on only one side. In foreign trade, attention should be paid to pallet material (wood requires fumigation/heat treatment), size standards (such as 1200×1000mm, 1200×800mm), and destination country quarantine requirements.
