Single-Face Pallet

A single-face pallet is a pallet with only one deck (load-bearing surface) and no additional bottom deck or stringers. It usually consists of a top deck, stringers, and bottom blocks (or only a top deck and bottom blocks). Goods can only be placed on one side, and it cannot be used double-sided. Its structure is simple, cost is low, and weight is light, but its load capacity is relatively weak, and it cannot be used for rack storage (unless used with a slip sheet). It is commonly used in one-time export, light cargo transportation, or with manual pallet jacks. Compared with a double-face pallet, a single-face pallet has an uneven bottom, cannot run smoothly on roller or chain conveyors, and is not suitable for stacking goods. When using a single-face pallet, note: confirm the cargo weight does not exceed its dynamic and static load limits; if rack storage is required, choose a double-face or four-way pallet; for export, consider quarantine requirements such as fumigation/heat treatment. In foreign trade contracts, specify the pallet type, material, dimensions, and load standards to avoid cargo damage or rejection due to non-compliant pallets.
