US Standard Pallet

US Standard Pallet refers to a pallet that conforms to the standard US dimensions, typically 48 inches × 40 inches (approximately 1219 mm × 1016 mm), and is the most commonly used pallet specification in North America. Usage scenarios: when exporting to North American markets such as the United States and Canada, customers often require goods to use US standard pallets to facilitate forklift handling, warehouse storage, and truck transportation. Precautions: US standard pallets differ in size from Euro pallets (1200 mm × 800 mm) and cannot be used interchangeably; US standard pallets usually have a larger load-bearing capacity, but attention must be paid to pallet material (wooden pallets require fumigation treatment and the IPPC mark) and the quarantine requirements of the importing country. The difference from 'Euro pallets' lies in size and regional applicability; there are also differences from 'Australian standard pallets,' etc. Foreign trade practitioners should specify in the contract the pallet specifications, material, fumigation requirements, and load capacity to avoid additional costs or returns caused by non-compliant pallets.
