Plywood Case

Plywood Case is a wooden packaging container commonly used in international trade, made of multiple layers of plywood nailed or assembled together. It is often used for the transport packaging of machinery, electronic instruments, precision parts, and other goods. Its features include light weight, high strength, and good moisture resistance. It is also exempt from fumigation (complying with the exemption conditions for processed wood such as plywood under the ISPM 15 standard), which can effectively save customs clearance time and costs. Usage scenarios include sea, air, and land transport, and it is especially suitable for goods that require a certain degree of protection but are not extremely heavy. Precautions: confirm that the plywood thickness and box structure can withstand stacking and impact; if the goods are overweight or precision, internal supports or cushioning should be added; note that some countries may have special requirements for packaging markings. The difference from a 'Wooden Case' is that a wooden case usually refers to a solid wood box, which requires fumigation and the IPPC mark, while a plywood case is generally exempt from fumigation because it has undergone high-temperature and high-pressure treatment. Compared with a 'carton', a plywood case has higher strength and better moisture resistance, but also a higher cost.
