Window Box

A window box is a type of paper box with a transparent window (usually covered with PET/PVC film) on its surface, allowing consumers to see the product inside directly. It is commonly used for retail packaging of toys, stationery, electronics, cosmetics, food, etc. In foreign trade, customers often specify 'window box' as the packaging method, requiring clarification of window shape (square, round, irregular), position (front, top), film material and thickness, paper box material (e.g., white cardstock, corrugated paper), and printing requirements. Note: The window can affect the box's strength, so stacking and transport protection must be evaluated; the film must comply with the target market's environmental regulations (e.g., EU REACH, US FDA); the difference between a window box and a 'color box' is that the latter usually has no window, and the difference from 'blister packaging' is that the latter mainly uses plastic blister. When quoting, window cutting and film lamination should be calculated as separate processes into the cost.
