Corrugated Paper

Corrugated paper is a packaging material made by gluing linerboard and a fluted paperboard formed through corrugating rolls. It features cushioning, compression resistance, and lightweight properties, and is widely used in foreign trade transport packaging. In foreign trade scenarios, corrugated paper is often used as the raw material for corrugated boxes, serving as outer packaging for export goods, especially suitable for fragile items, electronics, and furniture. Usage scenarios include: cargo protection during sea, air, and land transport; replacing wooden crates when customers require eco-friendly packaging; and use as filling material to prevent goods from shifting. Precautions: the flute type (e.g., A, B, C, E flute) and grammage must be specified, as different flute types affect compression strength; moisture-proof treatment should be noted to avoid strength reduction from moisture during sea transport; and it must comply with the importing country's environmental regulations (e.g., ISPM 15 quarantine requirements for wood packaging do not apply to corrugated paper, but adhesive environmental standards must be observed). Difference from 'Kraft Paper': corrugated paper has a multi-layer structure and higher strength, while kraft paper is single-layer and commonly used for inner packaging or envelopes; difference from 'Paperboard': corrugated paper has a fluted layer in the middle, while paperboard is usually solid and multi-layered. Foreign trade contracts should clearly specify the specifications, flute type, grammage, and test standards (e.g., Edge Crush Test, ECT) of corrugated paper.
