Triple Wall

Triple Wall is a structural term for corrugated fiberboard, referring to a seven-layer board made by alternately gluing three layers of corrugated medium and four layers of containerboard. The total thickness is typically 10-15mm, offering extremely high compressive strength and cushioning performance. Usage scenarios: mainly used for export packaging of heavy, fragile, or high-value goods, such as large machinery parts, precision instruments, auto parts, dangerous goods, etc., meeting international transport requirements for heavy-duty packaging. Precautions: Triple wall corrugated board has a relatively high cost, and due to its large thickness, die-cutting and printing become more difficult, so supplier production capacity must be confirmed; when quoting, the material, flute type (e.g., AAA, AAB), grammage, and burst strength must be specified to avoid confusion with Double Wall. Difference: Double Wall is a five-layer board with lower strength than Triple Wall; Single Wall is a three-layer board suitable only for lightweight goods. In foreign trade contracts, 'Triple Wall' is often used as a packaging specification clause, noting compliance with ISTA or ASTM standards.
