7-Ply Corrugated Board

7-Ply Corrugated Board is a heavy-duty corrugated board made by gluing together seven layers of paperboard. Its typical structure consists of a top liner, bottom liner, and multiple fluting layers arranged in alternating combinations such as A-flute + B-flute + C-flute. Its thickness generally ranges from 10 to 20 mm, and it offers extremely high compressive strength, cushioning performance, and puncture resistance. It is mainly used in heavy-duty packaging, precision instruments, large home appliances, auto parts, and export transport scenarios with high protection requirements. Usage scenarios: commonly used in ocean container shipping, repeated handling, or high stacking environments, and especially suitable as a substitute for wooden crates to reduce fumigation costs and weight. Precautions: In foreign trade, it is necessary to specify the flute combination, grammage, bursting strength, edge crush test strength, and other indicators, and to pay attention to different countries' requirements for carton recycling marks and environmental regulations (such as EU packaging regulations). Difference from other terms: 5-Ply Corrugated Board has lower compressive strength and is usually used for medium-duty packaging; 7-ply belongs to the heavy-duty grade, with higher cost but stronger protection.
