Border Inspection

Border Inspection refers to the administrative law enforcement actions carried out by the border inspection authorities established by the state at open ports, involving the inspection, supervision, and management of inbound and outbound personnel, means of transport, accompanied luggage and goods. In foreign trade, border inspection mainly involves the entry and exit inspection of cargo transport vehicles (such as ships, aircraft, trains, trucks) and the verification of accompanying personnel's documents. Usage scenarios include: before import and export customs declaration of goods, transport vehicles must undergo border inspection; when cross-border e-commerce small parcels are exported, the carrier must cooperate with border inspection. Notes: Border inspection differs from customs inspection; the former focuses on the legality and security of entry and exit of personnel and transport vehicles, while the latter focuses on cargo tariffs and trade control; enterprises must ensure that transport vehicles and personnel documents are complete to avoid delays. Difference from 'inspection and quarantine': inspection and quarantine target hygiene and safety of animals, plants, food, etc., while border inspection targets entry and exit order and national security.
