Exhibition Logistics

Exhibition Logistics is a specialized logistics service in international trade for exhibition activities, covering the entire process of exhibits from the place of origin to the exhibition hall, including transportation, customs clearance, handling within the exhibition hall, empty container storage, and post-exhibition return or transfer. Usage scenarios include when companies participate in international exhibitions overseas (such as the Canton Fair, Hannover Messe) or hold exhibitions domestically, and need to deliver samples, promotional materials, booth equipment, etc. to the booth on time. Precautions: First, the time window is strict; the exhibition opening date is fixed, and logistics delays will directly result in inability to participate. Second, ATA Carnets or temporary import/export customs documents must be prepared in advance to avoid high tariffs and customs clearance obstacles. Third, exhibits are usually temporarily imported and exported, and after the exhibition they must be re-exported or procedures for retention must be handled, otherwise fines may be incurred. Fourth, operations within the exhibition hall are subject to the organizer's regulations, and resources such as forklifts and hoisting must be reserved in advance. The difference from ordinary international logistics is that exhibition logistics emphasizes timeliness, temporary import/export characteristics, and on-site operations at the exhibition hall, while ordinary logistics focuses more on cost and routine transportation. The difference from project logistics is that exhibition logistics is smaller in scale but frequent in batches, and is closely tied to the exhibition cycle.
