Testing Standard

Testing Standard in foreign trade refers to the normative documents or technical requirements used as the basis for testing products in terms of quality, performance, safety, etc. They are usually formulated by international organizations (such as ISO, IEC), national standards bodies (such as ANSI, GB), or industry groups. Usage scenarios include: contract stipulations, letter of credit requirements, pre-shipment inspection, customs clearance, etc. Precautions: Different countries or buyers may require different testing standards, such as EN standards involved in EU CE certification, US UL standards, etc.; if the contract does not specify the testing standard, it may lead to delivery disputes; test reports must be issued by qualified third-party laboratories. Difference from other terms: Testing Standard focuses on 'what method to test according to', while a test report is the 'result document after testing', and Testing Specification describes test items and parameters more specifically. Foreign trade practitioners should specify the testing standard number, version, and issuing organization in the contract to avoid returns or claims caused by standard differences.
