Payment Sorting refers to determining the sequence of payments among multiple orders or different payment milestones within the same order, based on contract terms, credit conditions, risk levels, or fund priorities. It is commonly seen in long-term cooperation, multi-batch shipments, or combined orders, such as paying a deposit before the balance, sorting by order amount, or by delivery urgency. Its core is to optimize cash flow, reduce credit risk, and ensure key orders are prioritized. Note: Sorting rules must be clearly stated in the contract to avoid disputes caused by ambiguity; it differs from 'Payment Terms,' which specify the time and method of a single payment, while sorting emphasizes the relative order of multiple payments; it is similar to 'Payment Priority' but focuses more on operational sorting logic. Use cases include: customers requesting installment payments, suppliers allocating limited credit lines, or companies adjusting payment rhythms to control foreign exchange risk. Proper application can improve capital turnover efficiency, but must be considered alongside bank credit, exchange rate fluctuations, and mutual trust.
