Production Cycle

Production Cycle refers to the total time required from receiving an order or starting production to the completion of the product, including raw material procurement, processing, assembly, inspection, and other stages. In foreign trade, it is an important basis for quotations, contract delivery dates, and letter of credit shipment dates. Usage scenarios: production time quoted by factories to trading companies, salespersons replying to customers about delivery dates, and calculation of the latest shipment date required by letters of credit. Notes: Production Cycle is not equal to Delivery Time, which also includes transportation, customs clearance, etc.; different products, quantities, and seasons can affect the production cycle; a buffer period should be reserved to handle unexpected situations. Difference from 'Delivery Time': Production Cycle refers only to the factory production stage, while Delivery Time is the complete time for the seller to deliver the goods to the buyer. Similar to 'Stock Preparation Period', but stock preparation emphasizes preparing goods, while production cycle focuses more on the manufacturing process.
