MPQ (Minimum Package Quantity)

Minimum Package Quantity (MPQ) refers to the smallest quantity a supplier is willing to provide in a single package, usually related to the product's minimum selling unit or packaging specifications. For example, if a product is packed 10 pieces per box, the MPQ is 10 pieces. MPQ is commonly used in foreign trade procurement to help both buyers and sellers clarify the minimum packaging requirements for order quantities, avoiding excessive packaging costs or inability to produce due to insufficient quantities. Usage scenarios include inquiries, quotations, order confirmations, etc. Note: MPQ may differ from MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity). MOQ is the minimum total order quantity required by the seller, while MPQ is the minimum quantity within a single package. The order quantity must be an integer multiple of the MPQ. Additionally, MPQ may vary depending on the product, packaging method, or shipping requirements. The difference from MOQ is that MOQ focuses on the overall order quantity, while MPQ focuses on the packaging unit.
