Sensitive Goods

Sensitive Goods refer to goods that, in international trade and logistics, are subject to strict supervision or transport restrictions by customs, airlines, shipping companies, etc., due to factors such as safety, law, intellectual property, environmental protection, or politics. Common categories include: batteries, magnetic items, powders, liquids, pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, counterfeit branded goods, military/police supplies, religious items, etc. They are frequently encountered in international express, air freight, sea freight, and cross-border e-commerce logistics. Freight forwarders or customs brokers specifically mark them as 'Sensitive Goods' to distinguish them from General Cargo and Dangerous Goods (DG). Notes: Sensitive Goods usually require special packaging, certification documents (such as MSDS, UN38.3, FDA), specific transport channels, and involve higher freight costs, greater customs clearance risks, and are prone to being detained or returned. Compared with General Cargo, Sensitive Goods are more strictly regulated; compared with Dangerous Goods (DG), Sensitive Goods are not necessarily immediately hazardous but still have transport restrictions. Foreign trade practitioners need to confirm in advance whether the carrier can accept them and declare truthfully to avoid fines or legal liability caused by concealment.
