Campus Dining Services Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will implement a mandatory meal plan for all students living in on-campus residence halls. The plan includes 10 meals per week at the main dining hall and provides a declining balance of $50 per semester for use at campus cafes. This change aims to promote healthier eating habits and ensure that students have consistent access to nutritious meals.

Woman: Did you see the dining announcement? I can't believe they're forcing us to buy a meal plan. Man: Yeah, I read it. But it might not be that bad. It's only 10 meals a week, and you get some café credit too. Woman: That's the problem! I'm a senior and I have an off-campus apartment with a kitchen. I already cook most of my meals. This plan would be a total waste of money for me and many other students who live on campus but rarely eat at the dining hall. Man: True, but what about the health benefit? I guess they want to make sure we eat regularly. Woman: But we're adults! We can decide what to eat. Plus, the dining hall hours are limited, especially on weekends. So even if I wanted to use the meals, it's not always convenient. The café credit is small and doesn't cover a full meal either. It's really not flexible enough.
