Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week. Starting Monday, the main library will be open 24 hours a day through Friday of finals week. Additional study spaces will be available on the third floor, and free coffee will be provided from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the lobby. Students must show their ID cards to enter after midnight.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library being open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. I always pull all-nighters before my exams, and it's frustrating when the library closes at midnight. Now I won't have to go back to my noisy dorm to study. Plus, the free coffee is a nice bonus—it'll keep me awake without spending money at the café. W: But don't you think the extra hours will just encourage everyone to procrastinate? I mean, if you know the library is always open, you might put off studying even more. Also, the third floor study spaces are usually quiet, but with more people coming at night, it might get crowded and noisy. M: That's true, but for me, the benefits outweigh the downsides. I have a part-time job, so I can only study late at night. The extended hours mean I can actually use the library's resources. And I usually study with headphones anyway, so the noise doesn't bother me much.
