Campus Announcement: The university will extend the library's weekday hours to 24/5, starting next semester. This change aims to accommodate students' varied study schedules. To implement this, the library will reduce its weekend hours, closing at 6 PM on Fridays and reopening at noon on Sundays.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's a terrible idea. Woman: Really? I thought it was great for night owls. Man: But they're cutting weekend hours! I always use Saturdays to do my big research projects. Now I'll have to squeeze everything into weekdays, and it'll be packed. Woman: I see your point, but I'm a night person. I usually study better late at night, and the library is the only quiet place. Plus, Friday nights are usually dead on campus, so closing early on Friday won't hurt much. Man: Still, weekends are when I have the most free time. I have part-time shifts on weekdays, so I can't even use those late hours. The new schedule just shifts resources away from students like me. Woman: That's true, but the announcement says it's based on student usage data. Maybe most students prefer late weekdays over weekend mornings.
