Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting Next Month. Beginning March 1st, the main library will extend its hours from 8 AM to 2 AM, Monday through Friday, and from 10 AM to 10 PM on weekends. This change aims to accommodate students' varying study schedules, especially during midterms and finals. Additional security staff will be present during late hours.

Student 1 (Lisa): Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's a great idea. I often stay late for group projects, and the current 10 PM closing is just too early. Last week, we had to leave right in the middle of a presentation prep. With the new hours, we can actually finish our work without rushing.
Student 2 (Mark): I see your point, but I'm not so sure. I'm worried about the extra costs. The announcement says they're hiring more security staff, but who's paying for that? I bet tuition or student fees will go up. Also, I don't think many students will use the library at 2 AM. Most of us are asleep by then. It might be a waste of resources.
