M: Did you see the new library announcement? I can't believe they're only extending hours during finals week. What about the rest of the semester? I often need to study late for midterms too. W: I agree, but the quiet floor is a step in the right direction. Still, it's only for grad students! Undergrads like us are left with the noisy floors. M: Exactly. And even during finals week, 24/7 access doesn't help if the study spaces are still overcrowded. They should also add more group study rooms. W: Plus, the announcement says nothing about increasing staffing. If they keep the library open all night, who will monitor security? It seems like a half-hearted solution. M: Right. They need to address the real issues: more spaces for everyone and better noise management, not just symbolic changes.
