Campus Announcement: New Extended Library Hours Starting next semester, the university library will extend its hours from 10 p.m. to midnight on weekdays. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer to study late at night. Additionally, the library will add a new quiet study area on the third floor to provide more spaces for focused work. The administration believes these updates will enhance the academic experience for all students.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's great! W: Really? I'm not so sure. Extending hours until midnight seems excessive. Most students can finish their work by 10 p.m. if they manage their time well. M: But some of us have part-time jobs or evening classes and can't start studying until later. For me, having the library open until midnight means I can get two extra hours of quiet study time after my shift. W: That's true, but the extra hours will cost more money for staffing and utilities. The library could use that money to buy more books or improve the computers instead. M: I see your point about the cost, but the new quiet study area is also important. The current library is often noisy, and more quiet spaces would help everyone concentrate better. W: Well, I still think the money could be better spent elsewhere. But I do agree that the quiet study area is a good idea.
