The university has announced that starting next semester, the campus dining halls will no longer offer trays. This initiative aims to reduce food waste and conserve water used in dishwashing. Students will be encouraged to take only what they can carry and eat. The university believes this will promote more mindful eating habits and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Woman: Did you see the email about removing trays in the dining halls? I think it's a terrible idea. Man: Really? I thought it was kind of smart. Less waste, you know? Woman: But think about it. Without trays, you can only hold two plates at most. So you have to get up and go back for more food, which is inconvenient, especially during busy lunch hours. Man: That's true. But maybe it makes people think twice before piling up food they won't eat. Woman: But for students like me who play sports, we need large meals. It's just a hassle. Also, they say it saves water, but they'll still wash the plates, just fewer. I doubt the water savings are significant. Man: Hmm, I see your point. So you're against it? Woman: Definitely. It's more about making students uncomfortable than really helping the environment.
