Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week. Starting Monday, December 12th, the main library will be open 24 hours a day until Friday, December 16th. This change is to accommodate students during final exams. To ensure a quiet study environment, the third floor will remain a designated silent study area, while the first and second floors will allow group study and discussion. No additional staffing will be provided during these extended hours.

M: Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. But I still think it's worth it. I can get more work done, and I don't really need much help from staff anyway. Plus, having the third floor silent is perfect for me.
W: But think about the noise on the first two floors. With group study allowed all night, it could get really loud. I've had experiences where I couldn't concentrate even on the third floor because the noise carried up. And without staff to enforce the quiet rules, it'll be chaos. I think they should have hired more student workers instead of just extending hours.
