The university library will extend its hours to 2 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, starting next semester. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer studying late at night. Additionally, the library will offer a new 24/7 quiet study area on the first floor, accessible with a valid student ID.

Man: Did you hear about the library's new hours? I think it's a great idea. I often stay up late to finish essays, and the current 10 p.m. closing time is way too early. With the extended hours, I can actually use the library's resources instead of working in my noisy dorm. Woman: I see your point, but I'm not so sure. The 24/7 quiet study area might cause problems. It's on the first floor, right next to the main entrance. That area will get a lot of foot traffic, so it won't be as quiet as it should be. Man: That's true, but they said it's a quiet area, so maybe they'll enforce rules. Plus, the extended hours are the real benefit for me. I can plan my study schedule better. Woman: I get that, but I think the university should have spent the money on hiring more tutors instead. Many students struggle with coursework, not with finding a place to study.
