TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Campus Notice: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the fourth floor, and food and drinks will be prohibited in all study areas to maintain cleanliness.

Woman: Did you see the announcement about the library? I'm really excited about the 24/7 hours during finals. Last semester, I had to leave at midnight when I was in the middle of reviewing, and it was so frustrating. Man: True, the extended hours will help a lot. But I'm not so sure about banning food and drinks. I often need coffee to stay awake during long study sessions, and now I'll have to go to a café, which wastes time. Woman: I get that, but the new quiet floor is a great idea. It'll be easier to concentrate without people eating and making noise. Plus, the ban might actually keep the library cleaner, so we can find seats faster. Man: I suppose you have a point. But for me, the food ban is a deal-breaker. I think they should at least allow drinks with lids. Anyway, I'll probably still use the library, but I'll be less happy about it.
