The additional revenue will be used to improve campus lighting and add more bike lanes. The university believes this change will enhance safety and encourage sustainable transportation.

Student 1: Did you see the new parking fee increase? I think it's totally unfair. As a commuter student, I have no choice but to drive. My classes are early, and the bus schedule doesn't match my times. Student 2: Yeah, but they say it's for safety improvements. Don't you think better lighting is worth it? Student 1: I agree safety matters, but the fee hike is too steep. They could raise it by $50, not $100. Plus, the bike lanes won't help me since I live 20 miles away. Student 2: True, but I guess they want to encourage fewer cars on campus. Student 1: That's not realistic for many of us. And they didn't consult students at all. That's why I oppose it.
