托福口语 Task 2

Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the third level, accessible only to graduate students. The administration believes these changes will improve study conditions for all students.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library? I'm really not happy about it. Woman: Really? I thought it was great—24/7 hours during finals is a lifesaver. Man: Sure, but the new quiet floor is only for grad students. Undergrads like us already struggle to find quiet spaces, especially during finals. It's unfair to restrict the best floor to them. Woman: I see your point, but at least we have more hours. Man: More hours don't help if the main floors are noisy. Plus, the announcement says they're adding the floor, but they're not increasing staff. So, the extended hours will probably mean fewer maintenance and security checks, making the library less safe at night. That's a big concern for me.
