Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting next month, the university library will extend its hours to 24/5, remaining open from Sunday 6 PM to Friday 10 PM. This change aims to accommodate students' varying study schedules, especially during midterms and finals. To ensure safety, a valid student ID will be required for entry after 10 PM. Additionally, the library will introduce a quiet study floor on the third level to minimize distractions during late-night hours.

Student 1: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open 24/5? I think it's a great idea. I often pull all-nighters before exams, and the current closing time at midnight is really inconvenient. With extended hours, I can study without worrying about being kicked out. Student 2: I see your point, but I'm worried about the ID check after 10 PM. What if a student forgets their ID? They'd be locked out. Also, the quiet floor might not be enough—some people still talk on the third floor, and with more people at night, it could get noisy. But overall, I support it because it gives me more flexibility. My biggest reason is that I have a part-time job until 9 PM, so I need time to study afterwards. The extra hours mean I can actually use the library instead of going back to my dorm, which is too distracting. Also, having a dedicated quiet floor is helpful for my concentration, even if it's not perfect.
