Notice: Starting next semester, the university will extend the library's weekday hours to 2 a.m. to accommodate students' late-night study needs. However, to manage costs, the library will reduce its weekend hours, opening at noon on Saturdays and Sundays instead of 9 a.m. The university believes this change will better serve the majority of students who study late on weekdays.

M: Did you see the notice about the library? I'm really upset about it.
W: Yeah, I saw it. Why are you upset? The extended weekday hours sound great.
M: I guess, but cutting weekend hours is a huge problem for me. I always use Saturday mornings to do research for my projects. The library has the best archives, and I can't access them online.
W: That's true, but I rarely go on weekends. I do most of my studying on weekday nights after classes.
M: But the library isn't just for studying. It's also a quiet workspace for group projects. Many of us have part-time jobs on weekdays, so weekends are our only free time. Also, the university didn't even ask students about this. They just assumed everyone wants late nights, but that's not the case for commuters like me.
