The extension aims to support student study needs, while the café will provide convenient refreshments. The library will also increase its late-night security staff to ensure safety.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. Extending hours sounds good, but the café might be a problem. M: Why? I think the café is perfect. Students often study late and get hungry. Having food options right there will help us stay focused without leaving the library. W: But that could create noise and distractions. People near the café will hear chatter and coffee machines, which might make it harder to concentrate. Plus, the café might attract students who just want to hang out, not study. M: Still, I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The longer hours mean we can study later, especially during finals. And the café can be designed with soundproofing or placed away from quiet zones. W: I see your point, but I still think it's a bit risky. The university should focus on maintaining quiet study areas, not adding more temptations.
