Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 2 AM on weekdays. This change aims to support students' late-night study needs. To manage costs, the library will reduce its weekend hours, closing at 6 PM instead of 10 PM. The university believes this adjustment better aligns with student demand.

Student 1: Did you see the new library hours? I'm not thrilled about it. Student 2: Really? I think extending weekday hours is great for those who study late. But what about the weekend cut? Student 1: That's exactly my issue. Many students, like me, work part-time on weekdays and only have time for serious studying on weekends. Now we lose those evening hours. Student 2: True, but maybe the university thinks fewer students come on weekends. Student 1: That's not true! I've seen packed study rooms on Saturday evenings. Also, reducing weekend hours might hurt students who have group projects or need a quiet place to study, since the dorms are noisy. Student 2: I hadn't thought of that. So you're against the change? Student 1: Definitely. The weekday extension doesn't help me, and the weekend cut will hurt many of us.
