W: Really? I thought the 24/7 finals week hours sound great. What's the problem?
M: Well, sure, but they're cutting weekend hours for the whole rest of the semester. I work on weekdays and do most of my studying on weekends. Closing at 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays means I'll lose valuable study time. I can't just switch to weekdays.
W: That's a trade-off, but the quiet floor might help.
M: It won't help if I can't even be there! Plus, the new quiet floor is only on the third floor, but the main study areas will still be noisy. The real issue is that they're taking away existing hours to add a few days of extended hours, which doesn't benefit most students.
