The extension aims to accommodate increased demand for study space during exams, and the quiet floor is designed to reduce noise disturbances for students needing focused study time.

Woman: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea! Man: Really? I'm not so sure. The 24/7 hours sound good, but they're only during finals week. That's not enough for me—I often need late-night study sessions throughout the semester. Woman: But the quiet floor is a big plus. I can never find a silent place to study, especially during the day. Man: I agree that's helpful, but they're only adding one floor. With so many students, it'll fill up fast. Plus, the 24/7 hours will mean more noise at night with people coming and going, which could disturb those studying on the quiet floor. Woman: Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Still, I think it's a step in the right direction. Man: Maybe, but I wish they'd make the extended hours year-round and add more than one quiet floor.
