University Library to Extend Hours During Finals Week: Starting Monday, the library will be open 24 hours a day through Friday of finals week. This change aims to accommodate students' study needs during the busiest time of the semester. Additional security staff will be on duty overnight, and a quiet study floor will be designated on the third level. The extended hours will not affect regular staffing during the day.

Student 1 (Tom): Did you see the library announcement? They're keeping it open 24/7 during finals week. That's awesome! I always pull all-nighters before exams, and now I won't have to leave at midnight. Student 2 (Sara): I'm not so sure. I mean, I like the idea, but it might not be as helpful as you think. For one, I've heard that the library gets super crowded even during regular hours, so with overnight access, it might get packed with students who are just chatting or taking breaks. That could be distracting for those who really need to study. Plus, the extra security and utilities must cost a lot. The university could have spent that money on more useful things, like hiring more tutors or updating the old computers in the study labs.
