Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week Starting Monday, the university library will extend its hours to 24/5 (Monday through Friday) for the final exam period. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study time. Additionally, the library will offer free coffee and tea from 10 PM to 2 AM to support students during late-night study sessions. The extended hours will be in effect for two weeks only.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, it sounds nice, but it might not be as helpful as they think. M: Why not? More study time is always good, especially with finals coming up. W: Sure, but the free coffee and tea from 10 PM to 2 AM? That's just going to encourage people to stay up too late, and then they'll be exhausted for their exams the next day. I think it's a bad idea. M: But some students are night owls. They work better at night. And besides, having the option doesn't force anyone to stay late. W: True, but I've heard that the library will cut back on daytime staff to pay for the night shifts. That means fewer librarians available during the day when most students actually need help. I think that's a real problem. M: Hmm, I didn't think about that. I still like the idea, though, because I often pull all-nighters before exams. W: Well, I disagree. I think it's a waste of resources and could hurt more than it helps.
