The university will implement a new policy requiring all students to purchase a meal plan, even those living off-campus. The plan includes 10 meals per week at campus dining halls. The administration believes this will increase revenue for dining services and promote healthier eating habits among students.

Man: Did you see the email about the mandatory meal plan? I think it's a terrible idea. I live off-campus and I already cook my own meals. Why should I pay for something I won't use? It's just a way for the university to make more money. Woman: I agree. It's unfair to off-campus students. Also, campus food isn't that healthy anyway. I've seen the menu - lots of fried stuff. They say it's for our health, but that's just a excuse. Man: Exactly. Plus, I have a tight budget. This would force me to spend an extra $1,500 a year. I could use that for rent or groceries. Woman: Right. And for those who live on campus, they already have options. This policy doesn't make sense for anyone.
