Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its hours during finals week to 24/7. The extension, from the Sunday before finals to the Friday of finals week, aims to provide students with more flexible study time. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be designated on the third floor, equipped with additional study carrels and better lighting. These changes are in response to student requests for a more conducive study environment during peak exam periods.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I'm not thrilled about it.
W: Really? I think it's great. More study time during finals is exactly what we need.
M: But the 24/7 hours are only during finals week. What about the rest of the semester? Many of us have midterms and papers due earlier. It feels like a temporary fix.
W: That's true, but it's better than nothing. And the new quiet floor sounds perfect for deep concentration.
M: See, I have a problem with that too. The third floor is currently a group study area. If they turn it into a quiet floor, where do groups go? We have group projects all the time. It will be harder to find space to collaborate.
W: Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. But still, I support the change overall because it addresses the biggest issue—lack of late-night study space.
M: I disagree. The real issue is that the library is too crowded all semester, and they're only focusing on finals. I think it's a missed opportunity.
