Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours from 10 PM to midnight on weekdays. This change aims to provide more study time for students during finals and midterms. To accommodate this, the library will reduce its weekend opening hours, closing at 6 PM instead of 9 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's a great idea! W: Really? I'm not so sure. I usually study at the library on weekends, and cutting those hours will hurt my schedule. M: But think about it—most students have heavy workloads during the week, especially before exams. Extending weekday hours gives us more time when we actually need it. I always feel rushed at 10 PM. W: I get that, but weekends are when I catch up on readings and group projects. I need those longer weekend hours to prepare for Monday classes. M: Still, the library is often nearly empty on weekend evenings. I've seen it. More students use it on weekdays, so this change makes sense. W: Maybe, but for those of us who do use it, it's a big loss. I wish they'd find a way to extend both.
