Campus Notice: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week Starting Monday, December 10th, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 until the end of finals week. This change is intended to provide students with more flexible study time and reduce overcrowding during peak hours. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be opened on the fourth floor, and complimentary coffee will be offered from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. each night.

Man: Did you see the notice about the library staying open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. Woman: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, it sounds nice, but I have concerns. Man: What's the problem? More time to study seems like a win. Woman: Well, for one, I live on campus, and the noise from students coming and going at all hours will disturb my sleep. My dorm is right next to the library, and it's already noisy at night. Man: Ah, I didn't think of that. But they're adding a quiet floor, so inside should be better. Woman: That's the second issue—the quiet floor is a good idea, but they're only opening one floor for quiet study. What about the rest of the library? It'll still be noisy, and the coffee will make it worse. I think they should have more quiet zones or separate the coffee area from the study areas. Man: I see your point. But for me, having somewhere to go at 2 a.m. is better than being stuck in my room. I still support it. Woman: Well, I'm against it. I'd rather they focus on reducing noise overall than just adding hours.
