TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Campus Notice: The university will extend the library's hours to 24/7 during finals week, starting next Monday. To accommodate this, the main entrance will be relocated to the side door, and a security guard will be on duty overnight. Students must show their ID cards to enter after 10 PM.

Woman: Did you see the library announcement? 24/7 hours during finals? That's great! But I'm a bit worried about the side entrance. It's kind of dark and far from the parking lot. Man: I actually think it's a good idea overall. I mean, I always pull all-nighters before exams, and the current 2 AM closing time is a pain. Having the library open all night means I can study without having to pack up and go home. Woman: True, but what about safety? That side door is not well-lit, and with the security guard only checking IDs, it might feel risky walking alone at night. Man: I get that, but the guard is there, and they're adding extra lighting. Plus, they've asked campus security to patrol more often. I think it's worth it. Woman: Hmm, I still think they could have kept the main entrance open, but I guess the side door is a compromise. Man: Honestly, I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. I'm going to use it every night next week.
