Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its hours on weekdays from 10 PM to midnight. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer to study late. Additionally, a new quiet study area will be added on the third floor, equipped with individual study carrels.

W: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's a great idea! M: Really? I'm not so sure. Extending hours until midnight might not be enough for students who pull all-nighters, especially during finals. And the quiet area... it's on the third floor, but that's where the group study rooms are. It might get noisy. W: But think about it—most students finish their evening classes by 9 PM, so an extra two hours gives them a solid block of time to focus. Many students have part-time jobs during the day, so late hours are their only option. As for the quiet area, the third floor is actually mostly empty now, and the group rooms are soundproofed. Plus, individual carrels will reduce distractions. M: I see your point. I guess I was being too negative. The extended hours would help me too, since I work in the afternoons. And having more quiet spaces could really improve concentration.
