Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours on weekdays from 10 PM to midnight. Additionally, a new late-night shuttle service will operate between the library and student dormitories every 30 minutes during these extended hours. The university believes this change will better support students' academic needs.

Woman: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open later? I think it's a great idea! I often lose track of time studying and then have to rush back to my dorm before it gets too late. Now I won't have to worry about that.
Man: I'm not so sure. I mean, who really studies past 10 PM? Most of us are done by then. And the shuttle service sounds like it will just be empty most of the time.
Woman: But you're forgetting about midterms and finals. During those weeks, the library is packed until closing, and many students struggle to find a safe way home. The extended hours give us more flexibility, and the shuttle means we won't have to walk alone in the dark. That's a big safety plus.
Man: I suppose that's true for some, but I still think it's a waste of resources. The money could be spent on more books or better study spaces.
Woman: I disagree. More study time and a safe ride are exactly what we need. I bet many students will use it, especially for group projects that run late.
