Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours
Starting next month, the university library will extend its operating hours to 24/5 (Monday through Friday) and remain open until 10 PM on weekends. This change aims to accommodate students' diverse study schedules, especially during midterms and finals. To ensure safety, additional security staff will be on duty during overnight hours. The library will also allocate a quiet study floor exclusively for graduate students during these extended hours.

W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, who's actually going to use it at 3 AM? Most students have early classes, so they wouldn't benefit much.
M: But think about students who work part-time during the day. They often study late at night. And during finals, many of us pull all-nighters. I remember last semester, I had to leave at 2 AM because the library closed—it was so inconvenient.
W: I see your point, but I'm worried about safety. Even with extra security, walking across campus at 4 AM can be risky. Also, the quiet floor for grad students seems unfair—undergrads like me also need quiet spaces, and we're already crowded in the main areas.
M: Well, I think the benefits outweigh the risks. The extended hours give everyone more flexibility, and grad students deserve a dedicated space for their research. For me, it's a win-win.
