Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its weekday hours from 10 PM to midnight. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer late-night studying. To manage costs, the library will reduce weekend hours, opening at noon instead of 9 AM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Woman: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I'm not happy about it at all. Man: Really? I thought longer hours on weekdays would be great for students who study at night. Woman: But think about it—most students have early classes on weekdays, so they rarely stay past 10 PM. The real need is on weekends when we have more time to catch up on readings and projects. Man: That's true, but the library is often packed on weekday evenings before exams. Woman: Still, cutting weekend morning hours is a big loss. Many of us, especially commuters, use Saturday mornings to hit the library before the afternoon rush. Plus, the library needs to save money, but they could just keep the weekend hours and instead close the less-used reference section on weekday evenings.
