Campus News: New Dining Hours Announced
Starting next semester, the campus dining hall will reduce its operating hours. It will now close at 7:00 PM on weekdays instead of 9:00 PM, and will be closed entirely on weekends. The university cites lower demand during evening and weekend hours and aims to reduce food waste and operational costs. Additionally, the dining hall will introduce a new grab-and-go section for students who need quick meals. The administration believes this change will improve efficiency while still meeting students' needs.

M: Did you see the announcement about the dining hall hours? I can't believe they're cutting them so drastically.
W: I know, it's a huge problem for me. I have evening classes that end at 8:30, so I won't have anywhere to get dinner on campus after that.
M: Same here! And on weekends, I usually study in the library and rely on the dining hall for meals. Now I'll have to go off-campus, which costs more and takes time.
W: Exactly. Plus, the grab-and-go section doesn't help if the whole place is closed. They say it's about reducing waste, but many students like us actually use the evening and weekend hours.
M: Right. It seems like they didn't consider students' schedules at all. We need those hours to be able to eat properly while studying.
W: Yeah, I think the university should keep the dining hall open at least until 9 on weekdays and for a few hours on weekends. Otherwise, it's really inconvenient for a lot of students.
M: I completely agree. We should voice our concerns to the administration.
