Campus Announcement: New Fitness Center Hours
Starting next semester, the university fitness center will extend its operating hours to 24/7. This change aims to accommodate students with varying schedules, especially those who study late at night or early in the morning. Additional security staff will be hired to ensure safety during overnight hours. However, to manage costs, the fitness center will no longer offer free group fitness classes; instead, a small fee will be charged per class.
🎧 บทสนทนา
Student 1: Did you see the announcement about the fitness center? I think extending hours to 24/7 is great! I often finish my lab work at midnight, and the current 10 p.m. closing time is so inconvenient. Now I can work out after studying.
Student 2: But what about the group fitness classes? They're charging for them now. That's a big downside. I really rely on those free yoga and spin classes to stay motivated. Paying extra each week would add up for me.
Student 1: I understand, but I rarely use those classes. For me, the extended hours are more important. And I think the fee is reasonable since they're hiring more staff for overnight safety. It's a trade-off, but overall, I'm in favor.
Student 2: Well, I see your point, but for many students, the classes are a key part of staying fit. Charging might discourage participation. Still, I admit the 24/7 access is a plus. I just wish they could keep both free.
