TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added to reduce noise complaints. The administration believes these changes will better support students' academic success.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea. Woman: Really? I'm not so sure. Extending hours during finals week sounds nice, but it might not be enough. Man: Well, first, 24/7 access means I can study late without worrying about being kicked out. That's a huge relief. Woman: But what about the quiet floor? I heard it's only on the third floor, and that's where all the group study rooms are. It might get noisy anyway. Man: Actually, I think separating quiet study from group areas will reduce distractions. Plus, the announcement says they'll enforce it strictly. Woman: I suppose, but I still think they should have added more study spaces overall. Man: True, but for now, this is a practical step. I'm definitely in favor.
