Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 2 a.m. on weekdays during finals week. This change aims to provide more study space for students preparing for exams. Additional funding will be allocated to cover staffing and security costs.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open until 2 a.m. during finals? I think it's a great idea.\nW: Really? I'm not so sure. It might be a waste of money. Most students I know don't study that late.\nM: I disagree. My friends and I often pull all-nighters before exams, and the library closes at midnight. We have to go to crowded cafes or study in our dorms, which are noisy.\nW: I see your point, but the extra staff and security will cost a lot. Couldn't that money be used for more books or better computers?\nM: That's true, but those resources don't help if we can't focus. Also, I've heard many students complain about the lack of late-night study spots. It's a real need.\nW: I guess I hadn't thought about it that way. Maybe it is worth the cost.
